Topic: ASP.NET MVC: What’s New and What’s Next?
You may have heard that ASP.NET MVC helps you build websites that are flexible, give you control, and support design patterns for testability and maintainability. However, it’s growing quickly and you may be wondering just where it is now and where it’s headed next. In this talk, we’ll get up to speed with ASP.NET MVC, then dive into the current features supported in version 3 (NuGet, scaffolding, Razor, HTML5, etc.). Our “what can I do now?” questions answered, we’ll then take a tour around the ASP.NET MVC 4 Developer Preview, with plenty of upcoming features like mobile support, enhanced project templates, more HTML5 support, recipes, and more.
Speaker Bio: Chris works as a Principal Developer Evangelist at Microsoft to foster developer communities. He has been a software architect and lead developer at many companies. He is an author and holds a Master's in Computer Science from WPI.
